But don’t just take our word for it! One of our recent guests, bride-to-be Ciara, has kindly written about her Edinburgh hen weekend at Hillside.

I had my hen party at Hillside on 15th March 2014 after myself and two friends trawled Edinburgh City centre for the perfect venue.
Everywhere else we looked at just didn’t have the ‘wow’ factor I was after. When I eventually found Hillside I knew it would be perfect, as I wanted a sophisticated start to the evening with cocktails and food for my friends, before we hit the town for some dancing!
The venue is just breath-taking from the moment you enter to the grand function room. There was plenty of space for everyone to move around and chat, and also room for a large cocktail table (which came with barman to make whatever we requested). Everyone who came was just blown away by just how gorgeous this place is.
My bridesmaids had organised a ‘fun’ slideshow of pictures when we were at University and when I met my other half, which was shown in the kitchen, as there was a smart TV. Although everyone was laughing at my expense, it was hilarious and a thoughtful touch to the evening.
We had an absolute ball and didn’t have to worry about bringing glasses/arranging barman/deciding on cocktails to make – it was all in hand as Amanda had thought of everything.
A couple of my friends said that if this was the hen do, they couldn’t wait for the wedding – roll on Italy in June for the Big Day…….
