Boudoir Photo Shoot: We Trial Our Newest Hen Party Package

An office in the Grassmarket, meeting people from across the globe, exploring Edinburgh’s charming properties—this job certainly has its perks! One of the biggest bonuses is getting to trial local hen party suppliers before adding to our range of hen party packages.

Recently, a local Edinburgh photographer asked us to do a trial shoot for his hen party photography package. I was delighted at the opportunity and invited some of my closest friends to come along.

The verdict? Brilliant fun, lots of giggles and stunning photos to have as keepsakes forever.

Perfect venue

When Rich, the photographer, suggested the trial photo shoot, I immediately thought of Hillside, our elegant Georgian townhouse. This stunning seven-bedroom property was the ideal backdrop for our photos. From the drawing room’s vintage baby grand piano to the lush linens of the master bedroom, the colours and textures of Hillside added a beautiful depth to each photo.

Celebrity treatment

We had a great girly night, enjoying food and cocktails whilst getting our makeup done before the shoot (a professional makeup artist is available as an optional add-on). When it came time to take the photos, Rich made us all feel so comfortable and worked with each of us to create the best shots for our bodies. He can also tailor the shoot around other themes (e.g. ‘cocktail dresses’) for those who prefer to be a bit more covered up.

Amazing photos

Everyone was blown away by their pictures, and I’ve even had some printed for my wall. As part of his hen party photography package, Rich gives each guest a 6×4 print of their best shot. He also sends everyone five professionally edited digital photos via email after the event. Plus, each guest gets access to a password-protected website, where you can buy more prints, canvases and photo keepsakes.

If you’re planning an Edinburgh hen party and fancy something a bit more unique than the typical club night, I can’t recommend this experience enough.
